So here I am. I'm currently building a pc for the first time. I've done my research, and I'm not exactly new at this, but I've never actually built a pc for myself as I've had a lack of expenses. So far, I'm happy with how my build is going (amd-8350 black obviously, h100i may be subject to change, but seems solid, Kingston fury 1866 ram 2x4gb, Samsung 850 evo 250gb I've lived off a shit laptop with 250 gb hdd, so I can settle on this and decide on a 1-2tb hdd later for more storage, gigabyte g1 gaming gtx960 may also be subject to change, corsair 600w cx 80+ gold, in a fractal design define r4). NOTICE THE LACK OF A MOTHERBOARD. I'm torn in between all the options and recommendations. So I've come here to ask for the last recommendation to suit my needs from someone that's obviously more experienced. My budget isn't really that tight, but I will say this. If you can save me some money, I'm totally game. I want to overclock, its a little budget of a build, so I want to pump out a good amount of power out of this, while keeping it a bit cost effective. Sli support isn't necessary, but its a good feature to have as I may look into it in a couple years when I get an upgraded gpu. Blah blah blah, im not too picky about the rest other than the fact it has to be compatible with the rest of the build.

After considering all your important needs:

- I want to overclock.
- I want to pump out a good amount of power out of this.
- It has to be compatible with the rest of the build.
- Sli support isn't necessary, but its a good feature to have.
- My budget isn't really that tight, but I will say this. If you can save me some money, I'm totally game.

I suggest you this board that has good price to performance ratio, satisfies all your needs:

It's definitely one of the more infamous boards with rev 4, buti've also heard really good things about the asus m5a99x evo r2.0, asrock 990fx extreme3, 6 and 9, and Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+. Given the last is just the 970 chipset of the 990fx-ud3, it seems to be quite viable. I'll probably pick up the 990fx-ud3, just trying to double check that theres no other hidden jems out there.
