Difference between these three gigabyte 970 cards?

1. GV-N970G1 GAMING-4GD
2. GV-N970WF3OC-4GD
3. GV-N970WF3-4GD

All I can see is the frequency change, but they can be changed in the Afterburner right? And also these cards have 3 fans so i guess there won't be an temperature issue. So why is no. 1 is pricier than other?

These are all gaming 3G models, the rest is gravy, you certainly can't tell the difference in games. Nuff said.

Because it outperforms the others out of the box, has a different cooling system and a few other features lacking on the others like the backplate. There are likely a few other differences as well in the bios rom and pcb. Supposedly it's capable of higher overclocks than the others due to it's power and cooling configuration. Any of them are fine though.

1. the best of all three, highly factory overclocked, comes with a backplate and can overclock really high, its the best gtx 970.
2. it is a factory overclocked but not as high as 1st one, doesn't have a backplate but can overclock very well.
3. it is stock card with windforce cooling design.

there would be only 1-3 fps difference between these gpus. if you can get g1, then get it.

The Asus stix 970 is less powerfull. The gigabyte is worth the money over asus, and if u cant fit a gigabyte then msi is the next best 970

The Strix is a great card and is pretty quiet but doesn't overclock as well as the other cards.

And #1 has a backplate, better binning and improved power phases, One of the best overclocking cards out right now but if budget is a constraint you will not tell the difference.

a msi gtx 970 is also good. it doesn't have backplate but can overclock very well. it also has a 0RPM feature which is very good. get a msi or gigabyte, if you don't want to overclock then the asus strix will serve all your needs.

In my opinion anyhow and based off features, issues and the benchmarks I've looked at, which at this point is most if not all of them from any major review.

ANY GTX 970 is going to give you good performance as long as it isn't a reference card. I listed the better ones, but most of them are fine.
