I think I need to upgrade my network. And need a bit of help. Right now he's using a modem router combo and once I start gaming on my pc the Xbox starts lagging. So anyone have any good suggestions on the best way to set up a new network. this is what I have now net gear 4500bd. Devices that I have r u nn I ng in the house are two gaming pcs 2 Xbox ones 5 tablets and a smart tv. I'd like to have the Xbox and two pcs hard wired. If anyone has any suggestions. Thank you

Solution
If they're all wireless as of right now, that can be an issue depending on what your router can handle.
Because your setup.
Going wired would be your best option, wireless isn't ideal for gaming.
If you'd like to hard wire the PCs/Xbox's try these:

http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Powerline-200Mbps-Nano-Adapter/dp/B006OOKT3Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1432417651&sr=8-2&keywords=netgear+power+over+ethernet
(^ those are an option if you're not wanting to run wires all over your house)

You don't necessarily need a new router, or new network, and will probably benefit completely using wired connections.
