Hey there guys :bounce: My name is Mahtab and i am going to build a pc soon. I have just spent quite a while (2hrs to be approximate) searching parts and looking at reviews etc. My preffered website is www.overclockers.co.uk.
So let me come to the point...
Could you help me evaluate my chosen components? As i am not very experienced and i do not want to flop my first ever build :3
Also like is there any other tools that i need appart from thermal paste, zipties...? im a total noob xD
My budget is £700. I wanted to include monitor and keyboard-mouse etc (accesories) into it but like i already overpassed it. Here are my chosen components(inc. case):
AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8350 Black Edition 4.00GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail-£143.99
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-336-AM

total = £693.87

Please could you say if these parts are suitable and bond a strong computer together(very noobalistic phrasing ik) and please tell me about any changes that could make to make it better than it is :D and if there is a way that i could lower the price so i can fit the monitor (£100 approx.)
in the budget. Also is arctic silver 5 or coollabs liquid pro thermal paste better?:pt1cable:

Hoping to get a reply soon :D
Mahtab

P.S: I forgot to add an optical drive!!! xD so i chose these two:

You don't really need for 1600MHz when it comes to memory, the improvement is minimal, unless you are running a major scale server.
I swapped out a few things with this in mind and was able to fit in a monitor. Also, when purchasing on a budget, you need to scout around for the best deals, not just stick to one vendor unfortunately.

Pretty good build, But I'd go for an R9 285 which is significantly cheaper and performs around the same, unless you specifically need any of the features Nvidia card has to offer.

And get an air cooler like the Cryorig H7, which performs around the same as an H55 and is significantly cheaper.

You forgot the motherboard though, and for 5GBP more the CM Octane combo has customizable LED's, so that may be something you'll want to consider.

I tried to respect their choices, they didn't ask for a better build, they just asked what could be replaced/improved to fit in a monitor and peripherals. The GTX 960 is a great card so I left it and made budget cuts in other areas such as ram and CPU cooling. The GTX 960 actually out performs the R9 285 slightly in some aspects whilst being significantly cheaper.

But you are right I completely forgot the motherboard, I will edit quickly.

On a side note, in my opinion I find the octanes stupid and frivolous. Keyboards don't need to look like Tokyo square.

You forgot an optical drive and CPU cooler. Also, the WD blue HDD is not very high quality for the price.

I forgot an optical drive, and will be editing it in when I can. (PCPartPicker isn't being very responsive as of now)

The Xeon 1231 V3 comes with a stock cooler that'll stay pretty quiet provided that the case has good airflow. (The N200 has 2 case fans which is sufficient, specially with a low TDP card like the 285. Plus, the case's build quality is excellent and will easily fool most people that the case is worth twice of what it costs.)

And the WD Blue is just as reliable as other brands, You could easily change it to a Hitachi or Seagate Barracuda if you'd like.
