Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading my monitor soon, however, i don't know if I can still play these resolutions on ultra.

I would like to know if, with my gpu, can i play:

2560x1080
2560x1440
3440x1440
And 4k monitor.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Solution
For 1440p at reasonable framerates you need a 290/290x or gtx 970 minimum.
Anything above that you're looking at a dual card setup or single cards - gtx 980/titan/295 x2 & even then they'll average less than 60fps.

Your PC's not rubbish - the 280x is a solid 1080p card.

but the 970 only has 3.5gb of real vram :p

As I said the 280x is a good 1080p card - ifvit were capable of higher resolution gaming there would be no call for the 290 series or gtx 900 series cards etc.
You have to put pc performance into context - there are members on here running systems where the GPU setup alone will have cost more than your entire PC.

The 970 vram issue was blown out of all proportion - still a very good card.
