Performance drops after little use

I have been gaming with my rig happily for quite some time, though recently fps and performance starts dropping after about 20-30 minutes of gameplay (in some games to unplayable levels). I have done some research and found out it might be a heat issue.

I dusted out my case, reapplied thermal paste for both my CPU and GPU, reinstalled GPU drivers as well to no effect.

So do you guys think this is an overheating issue? Or something else

Yeah the Max temps are load temps, so if its not overheating then what do you think is causing the performance drops?

So you are saying it might be a PSU issue? Not drawing enough power?

But again, everything is fine for the first 20 or so minutes.
