Hey guys,

Been out of the loop for a while now. I'm contemplating water-cooling my current build, but can't find a waterblock for this card (as it's end-of-life). However, the videocard benchmark website here:

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7950+%2F+R9+280&id=325

...lists the HD7950 and the R9 280 as being the same card. I'm wondering whether this is just the same card with a different name, and if not, whether a waterblock for the R9 280 will fit the 7950. And if not, are there any recent waterblocks that will?

Thanks in advance.

Correction: here's some of what I found http://www.performance-pcs.com/water-blocks-gpu/shopby/vga-series--amd-7xxx/ However I am not entirely sure they will fit a non-reference 7950

Thanks for quick reply. The board is indeed one of those, the model number is GV-R795WF3 3GD Rev. 1. Is that a non-reference board? If so, I guess that means I can't water-cool it :(

I'm pretty sure those waterblocks that I posted should work. Easiest way to find out: contact performance pcs and ask them if a certain product (pick one) will work with your card (give them the exact model). They are very professional and eager to help, so you should find out soon enough.

Followed that link and dug around. Alphacool's compatibility list says that the ATXP ATi 7970/50 v2 fits this card. Thanks for your help! :)
