What is the difference between these onboard LANs

Killer e2205
Realtek® RTL8111G
Intel® I218V

I know the realtek one is basic and does not 'kill' lag in games but is it really worth paying the extra 30$ for a motherboard featuring the killer lan? And how does the intel lan fare against the killer lan?

My internet connection is not so good i get high pings a lot and was hoping if the killer lan could solve this problem. Any advice guys? Im fairly new to motherboard LANs so please explain or links would do

jsmithepa is correct; the Killer e2205 won't help you. I prefer the Intel NIC for compatibility with all OS, but it's performance isn't really better or worse than a Qualcomm, RealTek, Marvell or Broadcom Ethernet controller when connecting to the Internet. The only solution to your issue is to get a better Internet connection.
I dabble on telecomm. I dunno understand how a "better NIC" improves one's ping time. I mean once it leaves your router, your package goes wherever the ISP sends it, you have no choice on the matter. Oh sure, one can finagle it a bit by choosing a better DNS, or picking a secondary, closer? server? Somebody explain to me what a "better" NIC does to make a real difference on latency.

Well, I think many ppl ask this already
but I will say
if you only play game, or running one program only
Intel and Killer will be same

The only different is the software
and it only work when you running two or more programs at same time,
the killer software can help you to manage the network traffic.
