I am not sure what thread to put this in so if a mod can move this to the right fit please do so! A little about me; this will be the first computer I will build and I will be using it mostly for gaming. I will be playing the lastest games on here and my goal is to get high frams at medium to high graphics. Though I mostly play mmos such as Guild Wars 2, Swtor. My goal is to get the computer built by the end of summer. My budget is around $500. Here is what I have so far for the parts I need your opinions. Will this bottleneck? Compatible? Things such as that will be grateful! Thank you!

$500 is tight for a serious gaming rig. $1000 or more gets you into competition land. do some serious reading/watching of linustechtips, newegg videos on youtube, watch and read more. search the forums for the names of the games you want to play and look at people's builds. soft suggestion, but perhaps you need to learn/watch a bit more / you're parts are bottom of the barrel prices / i would say no go.

That will not let you play GW2 very well. GW2 is a VERY CPU intensive game when in towns or around alot of people and that old CPU will REALLY hold you back. Do not expect to play GW2 well at all with this setup.

Don't bother buying that old hardware. It is pointless.

That is a better processor. Than I have listed so I will add that to my post thanks! Which also means I will be adding another motherboard. Open for suggestions for that also.

Did you do that yourself? I'd rather pick out part a the way I'm doing so I can say hey I did that. I know weird. I also am not learning much about computers by just getting all the parts off the list like that. Thanks though tiny voices!

Oh yeah definitely. I'd rather not lose money. Also I'm willing to spend more on the case that's if that effect you're judgment on picking that one out. I'm willing to go to go 100 for the case.

G3258 performs well on paper, but suffers from stuttering issues because it only has 2 threads, anytime the system needs cpu resources it will stutter.

I just stated my opinion on my post, your build is solid.

So I will go with your build Tiny Voices. Though as stated above Imbwilling to go 100 on the case assuming that affected your judgement on the case. Also I love side windows and looks haha. That case though looks sick!

The build I posted will be great for your needs. I recommend you go with it. Probably want to add in a DVD drive for installing Windows. Only like $15.
