The Issue:
My computer is just 5 months old, It's my first rig. 2 days ago while I was playing LOL with my friend. I immediately noticed that my FPS dropped from 300 to 20-30 at max settings and I was thinking it just needed a reboot. So I rebooted my PC and tried World of tanks which I normally get 30-40fps at max settings and now I'm lucky If I get 20-30 and I'm worried that it could be my graphics card. Now it's even worse, random times i'm getting a blue screen of death but I forgot to save the thing that shows up once the computer reboots sorry.

What i've tried
-So I ran some test, like the CPU, GPU and RAM usage. Using ASUS Tweak for GPU and Hardwaremonitor for the CPU and RAM usage.
GPU shows %100 usage 55-60ºc when I play world of tanks.
CPU shows %30-40 usage 45-55ºc
RAM shows %50 usage while playing with a couple of tabs on waterfox
-Did a disk defrag
-Ran a full scan with nod32 antivirus and found nothing
-Also ran a malware scan and found nothing
-Reinstalled the gpu driver and it's updated

To be honest I'm not really that techie when it comes to this stuff but I do love playing games with it.

My specs:
CPU - i5-4690k @ 3.5Ghz
GPU - ASUS GTX 750 ti @ 1150mhz
Mobo - Gigabyte Z87X-OC
RAM - Kingston HyperX fury 2x4GB
PSU - FSP RAIDER 550w 80plus siver
CPU Cooler - Frio OCK
OS - Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
HDD - Seagate barracuda 1TB

I'm actually planning to format my PC later, but if there are other things that I need to do please let me know.

your gpu doesnt even require a connection to the power supply so i couldnt see how thats the problem as it wouldnt be a power issue, have you tried rolling the drivers back and not updating them to the latest ones. also try reinstalling the game.

Hi Arronleeds! My GPU does require a 6-pin power connector, no I haven't tried to roll the drivers back to the previous ones but I remember installing a webcam recently. Do you think that would make any difference?

Trial and error my friend it could be a possibility, just removed the webcam and drivers and roll back drivers to the last ones you remember were stable. and Ohhhh i thought All the 750tis didn't use power connections.

Okay, I'll try to do those now. Will update once I'm done. I guess the ones that doesn't have power connector are the normal ones with lower clock speed and single fan.

Since the GTX 750ti does have a power connector(unusual, but since it is OC'd, it is understandable) i would suspect its a power issue. The integrated graphics on the Z87 is quite good and should be able to run LOL with decent frame rates(at lower resolutions, that it), so go ahead and pull the 750ti out and test the onboard graphics. If you still see your GPU going 100% and staying their, then its not a power issue

Hi guys! I've been working on it for a couple of days now. Reverting back to old settings and drivers didn't work at all. I did a reformat and upgraded the OS to windows 8.1 and opened the whole thing to clean it and you won't believe this. I'm getting more than what I was getting before I even got the problem. I used to get 30-40fps on World of tanks at max but now I'm getting 50-60! Never thought that cleaning would do so much. But I hope this helps if anyone had the same problem.

it may just have been a case it didnt like the os you was on, ive had that issue with battlefield 4, i couldnt play it on windows 7, it was so bad that it was freezing every 1-2 seconds constantly. great to know its fixed.

when i upgraded to windows 8.1 pro from windows 7, my fps spikes went away and il never look back, even though i hate windows 8 and all the crap it has on that you dont need.
