Built my computer today, started up fine and I installed windows off of a USB to my SSD. After installing windows I downloaded and installed all of my drivers.
After doing all of this, I realized that my HDD was not being recognized by Windows. I went into the BIOS and it was not recognized there either. However, in Windows Device Manager the hard drive was under Disk Drives as WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 ATA Device.
The SSD was under disk drives as Crucial_CT256MX100SSD1 ATA Device
The HDD I am having issues with is a Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
My SSD is a Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Help please!

Solution
Could very well be a defective HDD. Since the drive is detected in Device Manager that indicates it is detected by the system Access the Western Digital site and download their Data Lifeguard program which will diagnose the health of the disk.
Access Disk Management and see if the WD HDD is listed there and has been assigned a drive letter. If it is listed but no drive letter has been assigned to the drive, assign one by right-clicking on the listing and selecting "Change Drive Letter and Paths".
