Might not be right place to ask but wondering if it's possible to make a tone- changing bass with something like a RaspberryPi

So, I've been wanting to build myself a bass guitar for some time now and while that's all fine and dandy, I was wondering if it would be possible to couple something like a Raspberry Pi or the like to make a touchscreen display on the instrument that allows the user to switch the tone the guitar is using. Different tones could be preloaded into the CPU for quick, on-the-fly tone-switching. Does anyone know if this would be possible (With or without the Pi/equivalent)?

Think there's any chance of a touchscreen control, rather than a physical one?

If you want to code one, anything is possible. If not, look through the links. Only way I'd know is if I was to read the links and search, and you're the one who want's it, not me. lol.
