Hey everyone,

I'm hoping someone could possibly help me out as after dealing with this problem for over 2 years I'm over it.

Every time I start my computer it loads perfectly fine, except for the color scheme showing up as Windows basic and not allowing me to change the color, that's how I know it's having the problem.

When I use youtube as an example, videos will lag and stutter. Video games on the other hand will process 3 times the speed and I'll be running around the map in super speed.

To remedy the situation I can always restart the computer and it works perfectly fine.

My specs are -
Motherboard - ASrock 980de3-u3s3
CPU - AMD FX-6300
GPU - EVGA GTX 570 (Have tried my spare HD 7770 and same thing happens)
RAM - 2x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaw 1333 (DDR3 PC3 10666)
PSU - Thermaltake Toughpower 875W

I'll be keeping an eye on the thread so if you need any more info please let me know, hopefully we can get this fixed so I can stop bashing my head against it. Thank you to anyone with input :)

Though I am not certain, you could have viruses? If you want to give the computer a real good clean, download and install Malwarebytes: https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/confirm/ .

1) Make sure Malwarebytes is fully updated.
2) Boot your computer into safe mode (turn it off, press the on button and start tapping F8, then select safe mode).
3) Once booted, scan the computer with Malwarebytes, and dispose of any viruses or PUP's (Potentially Unwanted Programs).

Once you have, restart the computer, when booted, download and install CCleaner: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard .

1) Run the Cleaner.
2) Run the Registry Cleaner (by selecting 'Registry', and 'Scan for Issue's'. When the scan has finished, select 'Fix all issues'.

Of course I'm not certain this will fix your problem, butt I can guarantee it will increase the performance of your PC and free up some space, good luck :)

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it i's definitely not a virus as the problem has happened over 2 hard drives and a few OS reinstalls.
