Computer randomly shuts down while playing games?

I recently built my computer about 2 months ago the specs are:
Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview 64-bit
AMD FX-6300
8.00GB Ram
ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 Motherboard
3072MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

So i have mainly only noticed this in two games, cities skylines and cs go, after about 45 minutes my computer will completely shut off, no notice. It boots back up perfectly fine, this is a real annoying issue because i have to constantly save in fear of it shutting down or being disconnected from an online match, anyone?

Those aren't so great quality (FSP RAIDER platform), but that's not necessarily the problem.

That motherboard is extremely low quality also, could be VRM temp shutdown.

Are you also using stock CPU cooler?

Yeah i am

I'm going to have you run a few tests, and hopefully we can isolate the problem. I need you to be careful though and if you smell anything burning or detect anything running very hot you need to abort the test.

Download ASUS realbench:

After about 5 minutes of stress testing my computer shut down, it did not seem like it got too too hot though

I want you to run certain tests from Realbench separately.

1st, run only the Open CL benchmark. This will isolate the graphics card. If it fails, we pretty much know that it is the PSU. If it passes, we move onto the next test.

It finished fine with a score of 1113

Ok try the other benchmarks but NOT the Open CL. That will stress just the CPU. If it crashes then its likely a cooling or motherboard issue. If it passes, then it is likely the PSU since it crashed when you ran the "stress everything".

There are much harder synthetic stress programs for CPU and Graphics cards, but I don't want you do use them in fear that you might break something.

My computer shut down on both the video encoding and multitasking tests and the 3 tests as a whole

It's likely a cooling or motherboard problem. You will monitor thermal margin in AOD while stressing.

Download AMD Overdrive.

http://www.amd.com/en-us/markets/game/downloads/overdrive

Run the stability test (with everything checked). Watch thermal margin on the monitoring tab. Report to me your findings.

After a few moments the cpu got to about -16 c margin and then shut off

This looks like it is motherboard VRMs getting overloaded. Try not to burn yourself, but I need you to touch the VRMs, capacitors, and chokes while the CPU is under load. Do they feel extremely hot? If so, try placing a small fan over them. That may be enough to fix it if the problem is small. Let me know.
