If money was absolutely no issue then you simply can't go past 2 Titan X's. They are amazing cards but they are just stupidly priced. A pair of them will beat any other 2 cards or single 295x2. The problem is they cost twice as much as they should.
When compared to a 295x2 at it's current price a Titan X should cost maybe $500. The only reason I would recommend them over a pair of 295x2's is because 4 way SLI/Quadfire just doesn't work very well in most titles.
If your extremely wealthy then get Titan X's, if not, a smarter man would get a single 295x2 or a pair of 980's at the very most.
GPU's are generally regarded as a generation or two away from full 4k horsepower. In my opinion you are better off getting by now by buying the best...

I would put my money towards the 2 Titan X in Sli mainly for [strike]2[/strike] 3 reasons:

1. Nvidia drivers superior to amd.
2. Titan X has better performance:wattage.
3. TitanX has 12GB VRAM opposed to the R9 295X2's 8GB. (Since Directx12 is supposed to bring VRAM stacking, a TitanX Sli would get you 24GB of VRAM)

Get a single 295x2 as you can get one from Newegg for $550 until the 25th May. You could try 2 but 4 way SLI scaling can be a bit questionable.
If you have enough money to be considering 2 titans though just go ahead and get 2 295x2's for the same money as 1 Titan. The 295x2 is quite a bit more powerful that a Titan so in titles where the 295x2 is optimised for 4 way Crossfire it will be far superior to any other setup.
You better have a 1500-2000 Watt PSU for that setup though.

Just to be clear I personally wouldn't buy 2 295x2's because of quad crossfire problems. I also wouldn't purchase Titans as they are incredibly poor value.
2x980's can get you good performance in 4k and not be completely over the top price wise. It's a difficult sell though since a single 295x2 costs half as much and performs almost the same.
At $550 the 295x2 is the best value card on the planet. When you consider how good value the GTX970 is, the 295x2 is roughly twice as powerful but you can't get 2 970's for the price of 1 295x2.
I really wish I was in the USA right now. Damn 295x2 is still $1100 in Australia.
This will probably be the only time the highest performing card will also be the best value. It makes me curious as to what AMD have up their sleeve with the 300 series if they are willing to discount an older product like this.

Thanks for your response. When you say the two titans are poor value what do you mean? The card is not good? or the price is not good? Btw i dont care about money at all i want the absolute best two performing cards. So what would be your choice? Thanks :)

In my opinion you are better off getting by now by buying the best value to achieve playable frame rates and using the excess money you don't spend now next year or the year after to get an even better setup. If I had a lot of money that would be my play though at the current price of a 295x2 you don't need a lot of money for the ultimate performance. Just thinking about it makes me so jealous I'm not in the States right now.
