PC crashes every time I play a game.

Okay, so I'll be honest with you guys. I pirated something the other day, and after I did that my PC has been acting annoyingly broken. It crashes every time I play a game, no matter what game it is it'll crash after around 5 or 10 minutes of playing. There isn't a blue screen or any warning, it just shuts off like the power supply decides to stop doing it's job.

What game exactly ?

Go into event viewer and look for exact error code.

Have you removed that thing?
Run virus and malware scans, preferably from boot media?

Have you tried scanning the system.

Remove the pirated game, and delete its registry entries.

Also, try to do a system restore.

If all else fails, do an OS reinstall.

Oh of course, I've deleted every trace of it I can find. I've done multiple full computer virus scans with Malwarebytes and MSE and nothing comes up. I'll try boot media although I've never heard of it.

Any game, it doesn't matter what one it is. Although, I did play GTA 5 for around an hour or so last night and it didn't crash for some reason, GTA was running in safe mode.. if that has anything to do with it. Also I've logged my temps when my PC crashes with HWiNFO64. Not sure if you guys would want that or not.

I have deleted the software and all of it's files, I've done many virus scans but all come up blank. I can't do a system restore because my computer never made reset points automatically, and if I can't get the problem fixed soon I'll try to wipe the whole PC and reinstall Windows.

I'm sorry, what software are you talking about? HWiNFO? no, I don't need that running if that's what you're talking about. I was just checking my temps while my PC crashed. Just in case it was overheating without telling me or something.

I've just finished doing a virus scan in Safe Mode, after that I did a boot media scan. It found 2 infected steam files. I deleted those and restarted my system but it wasn't the problem. My PC still crashes every time. Could it be my OS? I'm going to do a windows repair with Tweaking.com and see how that goes.

Upgrade power supply?
Show the temperatures also, please, it could be games overheating to the TJ Max (highest temperature before the computer shutdowns itself)
Also it could be the GPU, but i think that would not be the case.

The group is either ChingLiu or R2R I'm not sure which is which. But the thing is, I've downloaded this torrent before and nothing happened. On the exact same PC too. A few months ago I downloaded a bad torrent that made my PC slower than anything. I took it to my fathers friend and he wiped the hard drive completely. He said I had a virus. But I don't understand how I've downloaded this before with no errors, and now after he touched it, the virus seems to have screwed up my PC. Could he have added something to my computer?

It seems to be a hardware issue guys. Not even a boot media virus scan can fix it. Maybe it was just coincidental that my PC decided to start getting old the same day I downloaded the torrent?

Good luck with that but pirating doesnt necessary means that something is infected. Although you gotta check that no matter if its verified or not. I've been there couple years ago and never had issues. Did you try HD sentinel to check your HDD from bad sectors ? By using torrent client, it's gonna pretty much eat your hdd for allocating at the begining and afterwards during seed/peer time.

My HDD's broke 2 times so far, once on that purpose which you mentioned and once in Lords of the Fallen which apparently is reducing or "was reducing" lifetime..or whatever the hell I was reading about back then at release. So you could check your hdd's aswel.

The full wipe and reinstall didn't work, I'm still crashing. I'll download HD Sentinel and see if it can figure out what the issue is.

In other news, I can play games as long as I use the "-SKIPGPUCHECK" launch command in steam. Do you know what that command does? maybe I can work out the issue from there.
