Hello people, how are you? I'm building my very first gaming pc. So the thing is, I got everything set in it's place, and when I turn on the PC, all the fans turn on, I hear one single short beep and everything seems to work fine, but nothing is displayed in the screen. Now, when I unplugg the GPU that seems to get solved as I get something displayed in the screen. I need some help with this, I don't know what to do.

PS1: I get the single beep when I boot it with and without the GPU plugged

PS2: My screen has a VGA port, no HDMI

PS3: I plugged in my GPU to the PSU with the cables that came with the PSU (Not the ones that came with the GPU

PS4: My build is:

CPU: i5 4690

GPU: R9 280 (no X)

Motherboard: GA-H97 D3H

HDD: 1 TB CB

RAM: Single HyperX 8gb

PSU: Thermaltake 80 plus 650watts

Does your motherboard have a VGA port? If so, it must be disabled in the BIOS (UEFI). Then connect the display to the VGA port on the graphics card. Tutn ON the computer.

The single beep that you are hearing is the POST beep (the sound of music!).

Thanks for your quick response. There is no VGA port in my GPU.

Disable VGA on the motherboard. (BIOS).

Sorry, it may be due to my ignorance, but I can't follow your logic. My screen has only a VGA port, my GPU has no VGA port where I can plug in my screen. I don't see how disabling the VGA port (the only place where I can plug in my screen) will help it work properly. Anyway I'll try it
