I currently have Verizon DSL internet service. I want to have Ethernet connections available on two separate computers that are located in separate rooms. I had a spare Verizon DSL modem/router that I connected to the second computer but that device failed to display any 'Internet' signal and the first modem/router appeared to lose its signal until I restored the connection as it had been before (i.e., as a single modem/router connection).
Is there any way to do this successfully on a single phone line?
