Hello!

I am upgrading the motherboard, CPU, and graphics card on my home-built PC. I've built 3 systems before but this is the first time I've upgraded an existing system. First, before removing the old MB, I wiped my HDD and was going to do a fresh install of Windows 7.

After removing old hardware and installing the new hardware, video output from the MB or the graphics card will not work. All MB lights are on, CPU and case fans and HDD spin. I've tried HDMI and VGA connections. I've tried reseating the RAM sticks, taking out graphics card and trying with just onboard graphics, and checking CPU pins were not bent. The MB is Asus Z87-Plus; video card is Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 750; CPU i5.

I am reusing my 8gb of RAM (4 2gb sticks) from my old PC. They are Crucuial DDR3 240 pin DIMM. The specs for the new MB stated it accepted this RAM.

I did buy this MB refurbished from newegg, who claimed it was certified to work. My question is, do I have a faulty MB or should I have gotten new RAM?

Thank you for your time!

Solution
It does support them, with the right BIOS version.
