Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card to imrpove my FPS (Getting around 30) on some ARPG games (POE,D3). Current card is a Radeon HD5570 (1 GB).

Link to PC: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId...

Specs: Phenom II X4-925 (Deneb) 2.8 GHz (95W), Radeon HD5570 (1 GB), 1 TB HD, 8 GB ram, FOXXCON Alvorix-GL8E Motherboard, 250 W Power Supply

All help appreciated, looking to spend ~200$ if possible.

One of the best values for that OEM PC with a slower Phenom II X4 processor is the GTX 750 Ti. The problem some older Hps have tho, is that their older legacy BIOS doesn't recognize the newer UEFI BIOS of modern cards like the maxwell-equipped GTX 750 Ti. But MSI has that covered with their MSI GAMING N750Ti TF card. It has a BIOS switch on-board to change to legacy BIOS if necessry. It is decribed here at about the 3:30 point in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpKKR0VsRrM

You might also want to look into the slightly faster R7-265 for more performance or possibly the R9-270. But cards faster than those will become increasingly more bottlenecked by the CPU...

Thanks for your reply, will i need to upgrade my power supply? as it is rated for 250W? the GTX 750 Ti looks very attractive at 140$.

Your link above didn't work for me, so I couldn't check out the PC you had. But if it only has a 250W PSU, it is barely marginal for even the GTX 750 Ti. Even Nvidia recommends a 300W or larger. Most important tho, is the +12v rating of the PSU found on the PSU nameplate. Maybe you better let me know the exact make/model of your current PC.

Just to be on the safe side, get a 750ti, 260x or even a 270 and a new PSU. It will be a good investment for your PC.
Make sure the original PSU doesn't have any non-standard cables or connectors. Some brands like HP love to modify the ATX standards to force you to buy their crappy and overpriced PSUs.

On this image, it looks like a standard ATX power supply but double-check it before ordering a new one.
