Is my PC better than a mac

My dad believes my new PC i built will be nothing compared to the people who believe mac is the master race. He says a late 2012 will be better than a custom gaming PC. These are my specs GPU-Msi gtx 960 gaming 4g
Motherboard-Msi z97i gaming ack
HDD-seagate 1TB hdd
CPU-Intel i5 devils canyon
CPU COOLER-corsair h100i
RAM-corsair vengeance pro 2x4Gb
PSU-corsair hx850i
and one case fan

It depends. In terms of gaming performance, your computer is better than any 2012 Mac. If you overclock, it's way better.

The Macs will beat you in multithreaded performance. You beat them in single threaded performance and graphics performance.

Ok, yeah he believes his will have better graphics and will be faster over all in performance. But i do not plant to oc my GPU because it comes oc out of the box but possibly my CPU witch comes unlocked.

jeez. he told me i would beg to use the mac again after i built my PC. Though i don't have a monitor i have a TV in my room and i'm getting an HDMI cable. Hopefully i can run 4k since the GPU supports the resolution. The only thing i find nice on mac is the screen witch stays clean for extended periods of time even when touching it.

I don't think you can go up to 4k, unless your TV supports it.

I seriously disagree with your dad. When he sees you gaming at such good settings, HE will be beg to use yours.
This puts to death the notion that Mac's are inherently better than PC's. Compare the cost of your build to the price of his computer and laugh.
Mac fanatics are really hard to convince otherwise. :fou:

well my gaming PC did cost me 1023 as to where he pad 1200. But in the long run the price i paid for a custom rig with an AIO water CPU cooler shows that apple will sell low quality PC and rate them for high end businesses and have such a low GPU proves we should all build or own PC or hackintosh before we spend it all on a pre-done imac
