Hi, I'm new here and need a bit of help but can't find a thread for this problem, help will be greatly appreciated.

Basically I was in the middle of playing Skyrim and decided I'd plug my xbox controller in as my keyboard is a bit rubbish. Usually I plug this in prior to playing and use steam controller manager, but I plugged it in during the game then took it out and plugged it back it, the screen went bsod and I switched the PC off to cool down.

The problem is when I turn it back on it the PC fans go but the TV is not recognising that a device is connected to the HDMI port, this has never been an issue before, and I don't think I can hear the graphics card (HD 5770) going as usual, the PC sounds a bit quiet but I'm probably wrong.

I've checked all cables and components inside the PC and cleaned out what dust there was, no changes, and the PC HDMI ports are all fine and tested, I can't get it to display so I'm a bit stumped.

Thank you :)

Hi, thanks for your reply, the old girl is back from the abyss, I bought a vga cable and tried this and was able to eventually get it to display after some adjusting and checking bits in safe mode, I beleive there was a conflict between the video driver and a part of the game or controller which caused the error but I've updated all drivers now and was able to boot back into HD, happy days!
