This was my first build and not sure what to exactly expect.

I was wondering how quickly dust builds up in your systems? My case is located on the ground on a little shelf I took off my desk too so its not directly on the rug. Just wondering since dust kind of builds up rather quickly in my room. (around my TV mainly?...)

Also, with the way my computer is set up and plugged into the wall, I can see myself accidentally unplugging the system from the outlet, I was wondering if the system could be damaged if it was suddenly unplugged while gaming or just running in general.

Here's some pictures of my build, I know the cable are a tad messy; but it was my first time. :pt1cable:

Thank you all in advance.

Side note: I'm looking for a few opinions on this matter.

if its on the ground dust will accumulate quickly, especially on carpet. a monthly or quarterly cleanout should be expected, but dust isnt gonna accumulate so fast you start overheating and crashing in a few weeks. You can find some dust filters pretty easily as well to put over the intake fans.

for the unplugging issue, there are measures in place where if the computer powers off it should be safe. stuff youre working on wont be saved, but components should blow up. If you see yourself unplugging the cord (im guessing by your feet), try running the cord alont the edge of the floor and wall, and use some sort of fastener to keep it there: tape, etc

Dust forms quickly but not too quickly. You would see dusk form up onto up your case if it has a filter but doesn't need to cleaned out unless the tempetures get too high. You could also set the case fan speeds onto speed 7 in the BIOS. just explore the BIOS and you would find it

Yeah that's what i'm kinda of doing, the cord is a little short, so its hanging in the air a bit, and I already almost unplugged stretching my legs out once.I'm just a little worried since its my first build, and I don't want it to blow up in my face lol. But thanks for the quick reply; I appreciate that!

You could probably unplug it accidentally quite a few times, and notice zero major, ill effects. Power off the power supply (PSU) to reset it and associated hardware, power back on, and you're likely back in business. Is this a guarantee? No, but then, no hardware manufacturer is going to give you a warrantee on equipment you're pulling the plug on while it's running. :p Most equipment is pretty resilient these days.
