Frustrating Ram Problems

Alright, i bought a new mobo for hopes of better gaming (Intel DQ45CB).
I took a 4gb(ddr2) ram stick out of my old motherboard that was running 15 minutes before and having no problems with it, and put it in the new motherboard.

Here is a timeline of problems i've been having:
• fans spinning but pc not fully booting / no video output(fixed by adding a 1gb ram stick)
• windows nor bios detecting the 4gb ram stick, but cpu-z would
• pc restarting seconds after boot
• 4 post beep errors, same length but ranging in volume

I took the 4gb ram stick out and booted without problems.

Here is a list of things i tried to do to fix this:
• un-plug other stuff
• re-seat ram(tried all 4 slots)
• reset cmos
• replaced heat sink(i kinda knew it was unlikely that would work)

Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo @3.0 ghz (lga 775)
Intel Q45 Chipset
Currently 2gb ram
Intel DQ45CB Mobo
ddr2 ram support

Before suggesting its the ram itself, please acknowledge i had that working on another mobo 15 minutes with no problem before putting it in this one

Solution
What is the other mobo? The specs indicate "Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported." Is the module certified to work with the DQ45CB mobo?
you're mixing and matching ram. that simply doesn't work for many motherboards/cpus/systems

you need ram EXACTLY the same for it to work. so if you have 2 gb ddr2 666mhz with 5-5-5 timing, you'll need ram with pretty much identical settings to have a prayer of mixing & matching the ram

it meets all the requirements, ill search more and see if it doesnt support this specific ram module(it is a different brand from the rest)

What version is your BIOS? Best is to order a kit that's officially supported. According to DQ45CB_SpecUpdate07.pdf, 4 GB modules should be x8 double-sided (16 chips). Finding compatible 4 GB modules may not be that easy; it would be much easier to find a 4 x 2 GB kit.
