Hi, i just recently changed my thermal compound between my Heatsink and CPU, Its a I5 4690k. The reason i changed the compound is because i was getting temps at around 98-100c while under stress. I changed it and did a stress test and reached 70c, when idle i sit at 40-50c.

Im wondering if this is still alright? can i work with this?
Im thinking maybe i may have added too much thermal compound, im not really sure. but any help would be nice :)

If you are using the stock cooler those temps are fine, nothing the CPU can't handle.
If you want them to be lower you need an after market cooler, and if you are planning to overclock you should really consider replacing the stock cooler.
