Is an r9 280x worth $80 more than GTX 960?

Hey,
My budget is around $230 and I have to decide between these 2 cards. I know the 280x is faster than 960 and I should be getting that, but there's a problem. My power supply is only 460W, which means that if I get the 280x, I will also need to get a new power supply, which will cost at least $50. Currently, the 960 is at $200 and the 280x is at $230 on amazon. (I can't buy from newegg).
Also, should I consider the 4 GB version of 960 which is also at $230? I know it's not that useful since 960 is a 1080p card, but some games these days like GTA V, Shadow of Mordor and Far Cry 4 can use more than 2 GB at 1080p for the higher quality textures (which have almost no hit on fps, just on vram usage). Any advice?

If you require a new PSU, no it's not worth it. The 280X is a better card than the GTX 960, but it's normally only a few dollars more expensive on its own. To buy a high quality 650W PSU to work with it would be an issue, and therefore the GTX 960 is your best choice.

Do not buy the 4GB variant of the GTX 960. It's just marketing scam, the card gains almost no performance, and any performance it does gain is only at higher resolutions, where it can't cope anyway!

lol I know it's crappy, but I actually ran a 660 on it for 2 years without any problem and the 960 consumes less power than that, so I thought maybe it would be fine.
