Hi Guys,

I need a psu for my new setup and im thinking about these 2

Cooler Master G750M

Corsair CX750

Which one is better?

My setup:

EVGA GTX 960 SuperSC ACX 2.0+

ASUS MAXIMUS VII GENE Micro-ATX

Corsair 16 GB DDR3-2400 Kit,

Intel® Core™ i5-4670K

Corsair Carbide Air 240

Solution
With your setup 750W is way too much and neither are good enough quality. So too much wattage and not enough quality.

Here are some way better options, simply pick one.

Avoid any Corsair PSU with a C in it.... should be two C's for "Crappy Capacitors"

A 550 watter will handle two 960s according to nVidia but I'd use a 620-650 to allow for overclocking. Given the miniscule difference between the cost of a 550 and a 650, I'd get the 650

At $63 - 66, the Seasonic S12 or M12 620 watter is a great buy

The EVGA 650 GS also is attractive at $65

Again, why buy a 520/550 watter when the 620/650's are same price and allow a SLI upgrade and overclocking w/o changing out ya PSU

I have to disagree. Due to the Maxwell microarcitecture, OP's setup can indeed do 960 SLI and pull around 420W under peak load without overclocking. Not going way too crazy, will allow a decent overclock without power problems.

His setup with a single 960 will pull around 300W, without overclocking.

So I agree that the delta in price between 550/650 is small, however with OP's specific setup a quality 550W will do SLI, if OP adds another 960, which he has not even mentioned, if I am correct.

Do you care to explain, Sir? No where did @Mr. Tchota recommend the CX-series. It's not terrible by any means, it's just not the best quality - its mediocre. @Mr. Tchota then proceeded to recommend basically some of the best OEM's around, namely Seasonic and Super Flower.

I am simply confused by your reply.

Thanx for the help guys!

I might go for the Sli in the future but not sure. I am however planing to overclock on my micro-atx motherboard.

these are my final picks.

Seasonic S12II-620Bronze (SS-620GB), 620 Watt 80plus bronze , 97 euro

Seasonic S12G-550, 550 Watt 80plus gold , 90 euro

Seasonic M12II-620 EVO Bronze, 620 Watt 80 plus bronze ,85 euro

i think the Seasonic S12G-550 is best right?

They all have same build quality. It seems that you wont be needing much more than 55w, so you can go with the S12G, for more efficiency.

Or you could go with any of those 620W to have more room for future upgrade. But unless you decide to go with one of the current amd cards, you will most likely never need more than 550w (new hardware this days tend to have lower power consumption than previous generation, so on future upgrades to another single GPU you will probably have lower power requirements, or the difference will be very little).
