Should I plug in my fans into my H100i or motherboard???

Semi-urgent question: Do I plug in my radiator fans into the H100i or my motherboard? There are two options and I need to know what each one does differently/what is better.

P.S. I put this in the CPU category since it's a question about a CPU cooler.

EDIT: I'm confused where I plug my fans in now... The Y connector cable is supposed to go in my mobo but then where do my fans go? I have aftermarket fans BTW if that helps

You can use ether one. I would follow the installation guide. Aftermarket fans get plugged into the mobo or PSU.

Yeah, my point is that the instructions say to connect the Y chord from my cooler unit to the two fans. The problem is that my fans have the connector with holes in it for them to be placed in the mobo. The Y cable also has holes in it so I can't plug my fans in it. I think I'll just plug them into my mobo...

You will not break anything plugging them in the PSU directly or the mobo. It makes no difference unless you plug them in to physically the wrong place.
