hi there. i'm thinking about getting asus pro gamer motherboard, specifically the H97 - Pro Gamer as I won't be overclocking. can it handle full size graphics cards from nvidia and amd? reason i ask this is in the pics for it there is a heatsink on the board that's right near the pcie 3.0 graphics card slot.

Yes it will be fine. A large majority of motherboards have a heatsink right there, They are low profile and will not interfere with the graphics card seating fully into the pci-e slot.
