Thanks in advance for any support. this is my first time on the forums, I'm stuck. I'm trying to turn my father in laws prebuilt pc into a modest gaming rig for my nephew. The computer is a hp p6-2120. Here are the specs:

motherboad: aahd2-hy (holly2)
ram: 6gb ddr3 1600
power supply: 300w
cpu: amd a6 3620

So my thought was to get the gtx 750 ti because of the low power draw. When I plug the card in the computer wont get past the bios splash screen. While on the bios screen there are 3 short beeps with about 30 seconds in between. After the third beep it goes to a black screen. I decided to plug the card into my rig and it works fine. There are no bios updates I can find for the board. I checked a couple power supply calculators to see if that's it and the current one should be fine. I read on another forum that it could be the board blocking the connection, but I've never heard of that. what am I missing? Thanks again for any help.

Thanks for the advice. I looked for the beep codes and accidentally left the monitor unplugged (thankfully). With the monitor unplugged it beeps with a flashing light 6 times, which says the gpu is the problem. However I've tested the gpu and it works fine in my other rig. With the monitor plugged in there are no beep/light codes. Only 3 beeps about 30 seconds apart. Any ideas?
