Hey guys

I am supper frustrated at the moment, I decided to do a factory reset of my rig because it was getting a bit untidy with awash files, software and such.

Before the reset my computer run fine, everything run smoothly.

Now....... well

I did the reset through windows restore setting, reinstalled windows 7, deleted windows.old and deleted any lingering files. Everything was fine at the point.....

Started by re-installing my anti-virus (bullguard) and then installed chrome. I then set about installing up-to-date drivers, this is were the problems started. I installed AMD graphics drivers (Catalyst control software), Intel drivers (CPU) and then ASUS drivers (Motherboard) from here http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z68_DELUXEGEN3/HelpDesk_Download/. As I went on, Chrome stopped working, I thought nothing of it thinking it was my anti-virus stopping it so I downloaded Firefox (really don't like IE).

I think the problems started when I installed the update from utilities, second download down on the above website. I started getting multiple different blue screens - namely

page_fault_in_nonpaged_area
Unknown_software_exception
System_service_exception
REFERENCE_BY_POINTER

Sometimes these would happen a couple of times in a row, I then started getting this error windows cannot find IGFXTRAY.EXE.

So I whacked it into safe mode to try and find the root of the problem, I un-installed the drivers one by one thinking it was one of the drivers causing the problem but for some I had to be in normal mode to un-install. But to no avail it got that bad it wouldn't allow me to do anything without a blue screen popping up but now only showed the system_service_exception error.

So I decided to start again, I had enough time to hit the restore system and decided to installed windows again, thinking that it would get rid of all the drivers again so I could start again. How wrong was I......

I formatted the SSD and the HDD and started the installation process on the SSD - for the 6th time when it gets to installing windows it stays on 0% and blue screen after about 5 minutes with - Ntfs.sys

Interestingly I tried to install using the HDD which it does work but then just crashes and im prompted to boot again with a re-install.

I hope you lot have some options cos ive run out them.

Thank you for taking the time to read
Ben

Okay, I've managed to get the computer to a working point but it still crashes and resets after about 5 or 10 minutes. When I put it into safe mode it works fine , doesn't crash so I'm gunner work on installing all the essentials while in safe mode with networking and go from there
