If you connect three PWM case fans to a 3 way splitter and then the splitter to a single PWM header, will you be able to individually control each of the three PWM case fan speeds as opposed to all at once?

Solution
There are numerous suppliers of PWM splitters.... Duece listed the most popular but both mine and the user here have had issues with fan speed not being reported back to the MoBo. (Click on reviews tab)

Phanteks takes a PWM sigal and allows you to control up to 11 3-pin fans. I have 5 of these hubs and they work great saving the expense of PWM fans while providing all the advantages of PWM and none of the disadvantages. It also works on DCV headers but you have to limit the load to the header's amperage rating of 1 amp...equivalent to about 6 140mm 1250 rpm fans for each header.

Modmytoys also sells PWM...

Modmytoys also sells PWM PCB / hubs over at performance PCs. They have models which use an auxillary power cable and ones without

This would be perfect for your use but you'll have to get it from PPCs as FCPU is out of action for forseeable future.

But since you have 1 signal coming in and 3 going out, all three fans w/ill do what the 1st one is doing and can not be controlled separately. Of course you could just put each one on a different header....most Z97 boards have plenty of PWM headers.

I have 15 fans and 2 pumps on 4 MoBo channels

Channel 1 controls the 2 pumps thru CPU and CPU_OPT
Channel 2 controls the 6 rad fans on the 420 thru a Phanteks hub
Channel 3 controls the 4 rad fans on the 280 thru a Phanteks hub
Channel 4 controls the 5 case fans thru a Phanteks hub

NOTE: Corsair PWM fans don't work properly on hubs
