sp120 fans have 3 pin connector but my h100i has a 4 pin?

i read that a 3 pin can connect to a 4 pin, but the 4th pin is for fan control. do i need fan control? or will it just know when to speed up/speed down?

With a 3 pin connector, you won't be able to control the fan speed. I believe it is your motherboard that will dictate whether or not it needs the fans to spin faster or not. Either that, or they will spin at the same speed constantly. Hopefully someone can chime in with a firm answer.
