This may be a stupid question. How do I know how many watts each part of my pc use? Is there a program of the sorts? I am upgrading my cpu and my gpu, I am afraid that with my 500w psu that it may not be enough and may damage my new parts. I am getting a AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8 core CPU and a MSI GeForce GTX 970 4gb Twin Frozr V GPU. Is 500w enough?

How do I find my psu model? How do I know how much HDDS I have?

I will not be overclocking anything myself but I think the MSI gtx 970 4gb twin frozr V gpu is factory overclocked higher than the normal ones. I put my current components in an 1 hdds because I have no clue what it is and I got 283 watts as of now. Will my wattage change during gameplay? I am deathly afraid of not having a good enough psu that will damage my new cpu and gpu that I worked hard to get. If it says the minimum is say 445 watts, does that mean that a 500watt psu is enough? Will the watts change and go over 500watts?

The gpu is a MSI GTX 970 4gb Twin Frozr V gpu, it is factory overclocked higher than the normal gtx 970s. Will this version change anything? Also, the gtx 970 recommends 500watts, does this mean that my psu should be 500watts for only my gpu? Or would this be good with my cpu, gpu, mobo, ect.?

Are you just swapping the CPU and gpu into a preexisting system ?
For the h/d question if they are in a system go to my computer it will list your h/d.
Psu you will need to look on the actual unit what brand is it ?

I read some stuff on my psu and it said something like LS Ultra 500w ATX. I am planning on buying a new cpu and new gpu to replace the current parts in my build.

That psu as far as I can see is not very good cheaply made and if you get in the 400w range with it , it won't hold that draw for long .
If it was me I would get a psu out of the list I linked .

I see, but in your link I think it would be a better deal to buy the 650watt version as it is only about $6 more.
