my network adapter all of a sudden disappeared after i disabled some useless features.
i tried sfc /scannow, restore, re installed adapter driver but nothing worked and i still dont see the adapter in network and sharing centre.
Only time i saw the adapter was when i checked every single feature and restarted the pc and when i restarted again it would disappear. So now that wont work either.
Also when i try to do troubleshooting it gives me the error " the wired network adapter is having problems".
I ran out of ideas, is the only way of fixing it, would be re installing windows?

I hate to say this, but obviously one of those useless features was pretty useful until you killed it.

Did you at least keep track of which useless features you killed?

I only see Gigabyte Family controller with yellow triangle
also I have disabled Games, print and document, tablet PC, telnet client, windows gadget.
I don't know how those could have affected my network adapter

You need to find the right driver for your network adapter. Go to the support section of your computer/laptop' web site, download and install the correct driver.

If you haven't messed it up too much, you might be able to use System Restore to get back to the point where it actually worked.
