Good computer cant play basic minecraft

My good computer Specs:
Intel Core I5 3670k (?) quad core
16 gigs of G.Skill ram
2 MSI Radeon 270x gpu's
Asus ROG MB
and Corsair SSD


Cannot run Minecraft i get 15f.p.s i am even running in linux as to increase performance

I don't own the game, so this is purely based on read information. You're doing the usual stuff right? x64 Java installation, Optifine, JVM configuration, etc...

Even so, AFAIK minecraft allows for Crossfire/SLI systems to work, but unless you're running extremely heavy shader mods, it's simply going to spread the load for no increased pwrformance. The game, since it's coded in Java, is mostly CPU-bound, and you're fine on that aspect.
