So I have two sticks of pny xlr8 8gb 1600mhz ram that I got to put into a gigabyte F2A68HM-H MB. It came in a kit. however, apparently it will not work in this MB. I want to know what the best/cheapest ram to put into this motherboard that would work would be. I looked on the MB compatibility list on the gigabyte website and it seemed like the Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Blue (HX318C10FK2/16 would be a good choice. Thoughts? Also, what MB would the pny xlr8 ram work in?

You may have noticed in Gigabyte's support page there is no mention of PNY ram, the reason for that is it wasn't tested. You may also have noticed that it says "Memory modules listed as below is for reference only. Due to massive memory models in market, we can only verify some of them" so the list itself is not conclusive but here's what I did find using PNY's memory configurator ... they do not list any of their memory products as being compatible with the GA-F2A68HM-H (other Gigabyte boards, yes, just not that one).
Your best bet to find compatible memory IMO is to use the configurator offered by the memory manufacturers (almost all have a memory finder tool) since they will guarantee compatibility and proper operation

Doing a backward search to find what motherboard that ram would work on would be a very involved process that I wouldn't even try for my own knowledge (the possibility of futility is high) plus you would need the exact memory model number - IMO, best bet, sell it on Ebay.
