Hello folks,

I pay for a 20 mbps connection, what speed should I realistically be getting? I know it's not gonna be 20, but whereabouts should it be? I ran a test on speedtest.net and it gave me 6.93 Mbps, is that about right or am I being had?

You should get a lot closer to the 20 and sometimes 20. I mean, you should probably at worst get 18. It fluctuates also so it will not always be the same from minute to minute, test to test.
There could be a problem with your router or the line going in, or they never actually increased your speed, etc.
