Pretty sure Battlefield is one of the titles that requires an I3 at the minimum. Some of the new games won't even open if you don't have at least an I3.
it will run but.. g3258 and i3 4150 are similarly priced and that i3 supports hyperthreading.. which helps quite a bit in gaming..u will be better off with an i3..

Where did you find similarly priced 3258 / 4150? The 4150 approaches twice as much as the 3258.
I had to go check as I just used a 3258 in my media machine strictly because of the cost, and I didn't need a real strong CPU for that machine.
in some websites ive seen i3 selling for like 80.. they are quite different storys wrt to their original prices.. but if u cant find it .. g3258 would be great at $60 for 970
the game will run well depends on the resolution you are playing assuming you are playing at 1080p (full HD) Battle field 4 you will get 45+fbs with intel g3258 clocked at stock speed and gtx960 2GB GDDR5
I completely agree with ImDaBaron. With everything going on in a 64 player conquest map that G3258 will hold you back. I would upgrade your processor first and then your video card.
