I'm looking for a decent gaming mouse (say £25 to £45) that has 4 buttons on the side to play MOBAs, 12 buttons on the side is way too much especially when playing a MOBA as 1 wrong button can lose you a fight, so the buttons need to be a decent size and easy to differentiate from each other.

Maybe Logitech G402? G502 has better sensor and uses braided cables, but is about 65 pounds, so I figured it was out of your league (no pun intended, really). G402 is lighter version of G502, similar button layou (3 on the side, with an additional 2 beside the left mouse button, all of which can be customised or even disabled).
