Hello Everyone basically i have brought a new graphics card The ASUS Radeon HD 7850 And I installed everything and everything was going good i started up my pc it worked and then i installed the driver From the ASUS website and it had this annoying black border so i used the latest version of catalyst from the AMD site so it fixed the black bar issue by using the scaling option And everything was perfect BUT
then realised when i watch facebook videos wifi dropped ,then with games, then with youtube i have also used a adapter and it did not fix the issue also here is my specs
CPU:AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 555 Processor 3.20 GHz
Motherboard:gigabyte 333 onboard acceleration
GPU:Asus 7850 Direct CUII 2GB
PSU:500w
NOTE:The Wifi is fine without the Graphic drivers?
Also It Comes Back after 3 seconds this is really weird please help :(
I think it might be a graphics driver issue but not 100%
------------------------------------------------
Tbh this i very worrying for me im so confused
i dont know whats causing it its also EXTREMELY Frustrating me
Mood: :beurk:

Please Help i have been trying to find a fix for 2 weeks now also sorry for the noobness

When you say 'drops' I assumed you meant drops in speed. What do you mean?

I can't find anything on that PSU to confirm the nameplate ratings. But if it doesn't have at least 2 x 6 pin PCIe power connections, it definitely isn't a real "500W" PSU. Unless you can post the nameplate specs for me, I'm going to assume it is a too-small, cheap PSU that can't maintain the load with the new higher amperage card. That may be the whole problem. Voltage drop.

How much system memory do you have? The more VRAM the card has, the more system memory will be set aside as a buffer. And the AMD gfx driver will use extra resources and memory as well.

What slot is the wifi adapter plugged into? What motherboard? ("gigabyte 333 onboard acceleration" is not the name of board)

You don't by any chance have your gfx card in the 2nd PCIe x16 slot, do you? The PCIEX1_2 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX4 slot.

Why are you using 2 wifi adapters? They are in different interfaces. Win can only use one at a time. I'd remove/uninstall the weakest one and see if the problem is still there. Afterward, run CCleaner to clean up any software conflicts, registry errors, and junk files that can be eating up resources and causing problems: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

OK. You're good. The other PCIe x16 slot is only x4 lanes electrically, and it shares bandwidth with one of the PCIe x1 slots. Which adapter did you remove?

Do you have other online activity going on when you see the speed drop? If not, I'm stumped too. It appears to be related to the HD 7850. But I can't think of a connection that would cause that other than loss of system memory with the 2GB gfx card. With only 4 GB of system RAM, you are losing quite a bit to the video buffer and Win's housekeeping area it sets aside along with what it uses itself. It could be associated with that issue. Does this card have more VRAM than the old one?

If you have Win x64, I'd suggest increasing your system memory to 8 GB. But if you have Win7 x86, it won't use the extra RAM. I don't suppose you have access to an Ethernet connection for some testing, do you? I'd remove/uninstall the wifi adapter and use the Ethernet so we can see if it happens with a hard wired connection.

I'm sorry. I meant the difference between wifi speeds between cards.

Wait. Your PSU is too small for the new card? Can you list the nameplate specs on the PSU. Or let me know the make/model?
