PS3 Super slim jailbreaking

So i recently discovered jailbreaking, but after some time reading about it i found out it's only certain ps3's that do this.

Why is it that i cant just install ofw 3,55 and jailbreak it?

It's a question i dont feel like has been completely answered.

First, there was no super slim out when 3.55 came out, so no 3.55 firmware exists for your PS3 in the first place.

Second, PS3's don't let you "downgrade" or go down firmware. If you go to 3.56, you can't go down, only ever up.

AT one point, with the older PS3's you could, with a lot of work and soldering and trickery, be able to downgrade or flash an older firmware. I think sony may have even fixed that though.

Thx for the answer dude, know that i've got you. Is there any way that i can do anything custom with my ps3. Or am i stuck with just the basic ps3 SS functionality?
