So, as the title suggests, this is the first time I'm attempting to build a gaming rig. I need some help figuring out whether I picked the proper (re: best) parts that will serve me well for at least five years without needing to upgrade. I want to be able to run games like Witcher 3 and the Batman Arkham Knight on high settings at 1080p 60fps.

System specs

Asus STRIX-GTX980
ASUS Micro ATX 2600 LGA 1150 Z97M-PLUS
Intel® CoreTM i7-4790K Unlocked
Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 16GB Kit
WD Black 1TB Caviar Black
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
BenQ XL2411Z 24-inch LED
Corsair Hydro Series CWCH100i Extreme Performance CPU Cooler
Corsair CC-9011063-WW Graphite Series 780T Full-Tower

I also want to know if a regular gaming monitor is good enough or if I should look into buying a G-Sync monitor?

Thanks! I'll consider downgrading to an i5. So is everything else okay? My biggest worry is the mobo. I'm not sure how good it is for future upgrades.

The PSU I was considering was Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 850W SMPS.

Is 750w good enough though? I was leaning towards 850w just for good measure.
