After reading multiple articles about overclocking the fx-8320 I attempted to try it on mine, my CPU is with the MSI-970 Gaming mobo, im new to oc so I need help. I got on the bios and went to the overclocking settings, from there I set the CPU Ratio (or multiplier) to 20.5 and the CPU fsb frequency was at 200, so this would give me 4.1 GHz.
When I set it and restarted the PC I logged into windows and ran the prime95, the computer instantly froze, so I turned the computer off and turned it back one, when the windows loading screen came up it froze then blue screened for a second then restarted again. what is happening, I read that people could easily OC their CPU to 4.0 GHz no problem.

My specs:
Msi-970 Gaming motherboard
Amd fx-8320E 8 core
Corsair h80i water cooling

Hello, I have just figured out today that I needed to tweak the voltage if it goes past 4Ghz, that is the reason why it failed, luckily I can now run it stable at 4.5. I'm so happy.
