Here is my mobo
Gigabyte H61M-S1 Rev 3.0 nd im trying to get a Kingston Hyperx Fury 8GB ram..

Would that be compatible?

No. Your MB has support for DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules.

It would still work though because the RAM would de-clock itself.

Yah but the ram downclocks to 1333Mhz by itself.No problem it works!
