What on earth is going on. The spec of my drive says it can do 540 MBps but it only reaches 267 MBps. So whats wrong? Controller is set to ahci.

Hey there, Manvir Singh!

I'd suggest you to check if you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard. Just find your model on their website and make sure everything is up-to-date. I'd also check if you have TRIM enabled for the SSD.
Another thing you could try is disable/enable the Write caching and test the SSD afterwards, see if that will help you improve the write speed.

Good luck! :)

I have the latest drivers for everything. I already tried turning off Write caching it made the read speed much faster but the write speed was the same. Also trim is enabled.

My motherboard: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4672#ov

If i remember Adata have a ssd toolbox apps

try check/update the firmware for the disk, (update firmware have it's own risk so read the warning first)
there also a system optimization button u may try use see if the speed improve...

Actualy I'm using Adata SP900 on my notebook, but here it limited by sata2 connection (still better that those slowpoke hdd..)
