Hello! I'm new in this community so please go easy on me. :)

I've done some research in the past few days in this site and other sites. As what the title says, I'm looking for a decent red and black 1155 motherboard. From what I'v searched, I've seen different models like the Asrock Fatal1ty, Msi Gaming Series, and other brands. I want a trusted brand on a motherboard. I am planning to get the Msi z77a-gd65 Gaming. Could someone suggest me the best red and black 1155 motherboard they got? But remember to keep it on a budget most likely max at $150.

Second is the graphics card, I want a decent one. No need for it to be red and black. But it would be better with the color scheme. I am getting the Nvidia gtx 960. Again, could someone suggest me a decent brand and model? I am planning to get the Msi gtx 960 4g gaming. I want a 4gb one for mods and maybe in preparation for future games. Thanks for Replying! :)

Hi. Welcome to Toms.

First off the Asrock Fatal1ty is an awesome brand and series of motherboards desighend specifically for gamers.

MSI is not as good a brand; I have had problems with MSI. So I'd recommend against getting any MSI products.

I'd recommend any of the following motherboards and all are in red/black theme:

ASRock Z77 Fatal1ty Professional ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Asus Maximus V Gene Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Asus Maximus V Formula EATX LGA1155 Motherboard

If you want a red/black theme GPU then this is a good one:

Asus GeForce GTX 960 4GB (clocked at 1.25Ghz.)

However, the best GTX 960 for the moeny is this

EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB FTW ACX 2.0+ (This is clocked at 1.30Ghz.)

I actually want and refer the Asus Maximus Series but the price is too much overpowering. I can't find a website that sells these cheap so, is the Asrock Fatal1ty the best choice in my budget?

In choosing the graphics card, I thought the gigabyte gtx960 g1 gaming is the best gtx 960 model I've heard. I watched a youtube video comparing the asus and the gigabyte and the gigabyte is the better, What's your opinion about this? And how can you say that the EVGA version is the best performance/buck? Please do explain simply. :)

Thanks for the reply dude but I think I will not be able to be upgrade my CPU this time. Actually bought my rig just about last year June. Did a mistake by not searching what model of the i5 I was going to buy and I just said i5. Actually searched a lot of motherboards but most good ones are socket 1150s especially the Asus ones, but anyway, I can't go on with regrets so I'll make the best out of this one. And by the way, I am still 16 depending on my high grades to convince my parents for upgrades on my pc for better gaming experience. :)
