So i did buyed this card, because i wanted louder sound via headphones, but problem is that with my onboard realtek microphone is picking sound much better than with this card, mic is same used with onboard now using with soundcard, with onboard using mic my friend via skype was hearing me well even mic was about 50-60cm from me on the table, now with sound card i have to talk right in to the mic about 5-10cm from me, because friend cant hear me well via skype, how to boost mic's input gain because i've already ticked the box microphone boost in the asus xonar dg audio center - mixer - recording settings 
Other than that sound card is good sound way louder than onboard and quality is good, i didnt needed that quality would be better than onboard i just needed louder sound, and headphone amps or dac/amps are not in the 20 pounds range
