Hey Guys of Toms...

I've two Gaming PC builds to max out games at 1080p. The cheaper one which is:

CPU: Intel i5 4590

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 980

MOBO: Asus B85 Pro Gamer

RAM: 8GB of 1600mhz (2x4GB) Crucial Ballistix Sport

PSU: Fractal Design Edison M 650w

DVD/RW Drive: Samsung 24x

HDD: Toshiba 2TB

SSD: Crucial BX100 250GB

MONITOR: Iiyama Prolite 24"

CASE: Corsair Spec 03

CASE FANS: 4 Coolermaster Sickleflow RED LED + 2 PWM Fan Splitters

OS: Windows 8.1 (€50)

WI-FI: TP Link Dual Band Wireless PCI-e x 1

KEYBOARD: Sumvision Nemesis Kane Pro

(Wifi + Keyboard = €55)

Approx. Price of PC: €1,749.54

And a more expensive one with more bells and whistles:

CPU: Intel i5 4690k

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 980

MOBO: Asus Z97 Pro Gamer

RAM: 8GB of 2400mhz (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro

PSU: Fractal Design Edison M 750w

DVD/RW Drive: Samsung 24x

HDD: Toshiba 2TB

SSD 1: Crucial BX100 250GB

SSD 2: Intel 530 Series 120GB (1/2 price with CPU)

MONITOR: Iiyama Prolite 24"

CASE: Corsair Spec 03

CASE FANS: 4 Coolermaster Sickleflow RED LED + 2 PWM Fan Splitters

OS: Windows 8.1 (€50)

WI-FI: TP Link Dual Band Wireless PCI-e x 1

KEYBOARD: Sumvision Nemesis Kane Pro

(Wifi + Keyboard = €55)

Approx. Price of PC: €1,906.45

In your own opinions, is it worth splashing out for the more expensive PC, or am I just wasting money?

Cheers in advance! :D

Solution
I don't think you would see a noticeable difference in games between the 2 builds. If you want to try your hand at overclocking go with the 2nd build, otherwise the cheaper option would be 99% as good.
