Hello All
after reinstalling Windows 8.1, my Dell N5110 stopped recognizing Nvidia graphic card and it only see the CPU's integrated Intel HD 3000.
I have tired to reinstall Win 8.1 again, but it failed, then tried Windows 10 Preview, then Linux Ubuntu and all failed to see the Nvidia.
I tried resetting the BIOS from the BIOS settings and then I tried resetting the BIOS by removing the battery (Which change the date, time.... to defaults), it did not work as well.
downgrading the BIOS to A09 did not solve it or re-upgrading the BIOS to A11.

General Info, I upgraded the HDD to Samsung SSD, added extra RAM, ALL of which used to work perfectly plus the graphic card,
I use cooler pad all the time , thx to heating i7 CPU 2670QM
I have the notebook since 2012 and the graphic card problem only started 3 days ago

Hello Shrikanth
I tried both sources - Dell site and Nvidia site- both did not find compatible hardware.
I also tried uninstalling Intel driver and reinstalling it from Dell site, then Nvidia driver but did not work.
nothing see the Nvidia card even in Windows Device Manager.

Hi Sheva007,

Do you get any error when you install the driver? Seems like the graphics might have gone bad. Have you tried reinstalling the operating system just to rule out a software issue?

Thanks and regards

Hi Shrikanth
as I said before, I tried installing Win8.1, + win 10 + Linux Ubuntu.
the error I get "Nvidia driver installer requires an Nvidia GPU".
I think also the card just went bad, but I did not see an event doing that like overheating or dropping the device.
